There is an opportunity here to find complete carbs and carb rebuild kits for many of the budget brands and defunct Chinese ATV's from names like Apex, Sundiro, Kasea, Eton, Sunl, Herchee, etc.

In this case, these carbs have to be matched up by engine size, dimensions, and any other specs you can find.

The eBay website has added some new features including an email notification system. This enables you to be notified by email when a certain carburetor or rebuild kit is listed by a private party or commercial seller.

Carbs and Kits

mojo quad carbOEM ATV carbs and aftermarket rebuild kits are available from the larger Japanese, American, and Canadian manufacturers.

Although they do stock various aftermarket carburetor parts, they are a good source for genuine oem carb parts for all Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, and Yamaha quads.

The carb is a touchy subject. Most quad carb problems can be resolved through cleaning and adjustments. If it is beyond adjustment or repair kits, OEM replacement may be the only option for some.

Mojo Moto would be a good choice for someone in need of an original OEM carb but they also offer aftermarket options as well as some universal carbs if you search the website. The claim to fame is order delivery that is faster than much of the competiton so you may also want to consider that fact for your purchase.

About ATV Carbs

It is a mechanically operated piece of machinery. This piece of machinery provides the proper air and fuel mixture to ignite an internal combustion engine such as the engine that powers your quad. Quad carbs are smaller and simpler than those mounted to the automobile engine. Thery are almost always a single barrel, or single chamber by design.

There are multiple spellings for this fuel and air intergator including carburator, carbeuretor, and carburettor to name a few examples. This is why we'll just stick to carb, it's clean and simple. An ATV carb is essentially a motorcycle carb.

It is sized similarly, and constructed the same with a single barrel, or venturi, if you would like to get scientific. They are generally constructed of aluminum with some brass parts, and also some plastic parts. This has become the accepted construction as it is a tried and true engineering marvel.

Some terms or components you may encounter in the quad carb world are the throttle, the accelerator pump, float or float chamber, the idle, the choke, and the main jet. Many of these items are mentioned in a service manual when describing troubleshooting techniques and we won't get into specifics here since these can vary among different carburetor designs.

Tuning (or adjusting) your quad's carb incorrectly can make matters worse instead of making them better. Proper carb tuning requires knowledge, experience, and practice. Without knowledge of how diagnose a carb problem, the procedure of tuning is in vain. Consult you service manual for specifics regarding your specific model of carb.
