Cheap ATV Bearings
This is a great source for cheap ATV bearings for generic quads from China and Taiwan.
There is an opportunity here to find bearings for many of the budget brands and defunct Chinese ATV's from names like Apex, Baja, Kasea, Eton, Sunl, Sundiro, Herchee, etc.
These open and sealed bearings and their associated seals need to be matched up by size and spec; accurate measurements are key.
The eBay website has added some new features including an email notification system. This enables you to be notified by email when a certain size bearing is listed by a private party or commercial seller.
OEM Bearings and Seals
OEM ATV bearings are available from the larger Japanese, American, and Canadian manufacturers.
Although they do stock various aftermarket bearing and seal kits, they are actually a great source for genuine, stock bearings and oil seals for Arctic Cat, Bombardier / Can AM, Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, and Yamaha quads.
Faulty bearings can do more than ruin your day out on the track or trail. They can damage other components.

About ATV Bearings
They perform many tasks however friction reduction is the main goal of any bearing system. Every ATV contains a multiude of bearings, many of these are sealed bearings which are permanently lubricated.
Sealed bearings cannot be serviced. They have a lifespan that is dictated by their application and the stress that is applied during normal operation.
There are actually quite a few different styles of bearing in use on every ATV. There are ball bearings, thrust bearings, cylindrical bearings, and needle bearings. These components are contained with the engine as well as externally in the steering and suspension systems as well as other miscellaneous locations on the ATV.
Open bearings are bearings that may require periodic lubrication. They are normally protected from the environment by an exernal oil seal of dust cap. This style of bearing may actually provide more service than a sealed bearing if it is manintained properly and lubricated at the recommended intervals.
