| Q. Where can you find bearings for a Seasang 90cc quad? A. If you don't have a parts manual handy, you'll have to cross reference the numbers. Bearing manufaturers have cross referencing info available and some of them are available online. | Q. Where can I order parts for this Xtreme alien x 49 2 stroke ? I need carb rebuild kit and a couple other things. Any co. i try to contact never answers and you cant leave a message. I need to find someone who has these parts. I have tried everything. A. Obsolete atv's will continue to pose problems as parts become more and more hard to find. The best advice I can give for an atv with no official parts supplier is this. Many of these atvs, Alien included, were manufactured by the same companies in Asia. In other words, parts are interchangeable in many cases. You may need to purchase parts that meet your specs but not necessarily the same brand. You may have to become an engineer and take some measurements and cross your fingers. many of the parts supplier we used in the past have gone out of business and we have been left scratching our heads in search of parts for older obsolete quads. | Q. adjust carb and point gap how to do both thanks A. This is a very general question and difficult to answer. Carb adjustments have many variables many times depending on jetting. Point gap is easy if you know the specs, however the specs vary from machine to machine therefore I couldn't tell you your exact gap. I would suggest finding the specific service manual for your atv. This could be accomplished by taking measurements of the ports and using some creativity. Random carbs are posted regularly on eBay, you can try there. | Q. I have a Suzuki Quadracer, if I drill holes on the airbox, will it go faster? Or is drilling out the airbox a waste of time? A. Drilling holes in the airbox can increase airflow into the carb however this can help or hurt you Quadracer's performance. If the motor is currently starved for air, it would help. It the carb were adjusted and jetted properly, this would have no positive affect on performance as proper air to fuel mixture is critical to your engine. The Quadracer was a fast machine right out of the box and I'm not sure you would see much of a difference in overall speed. | Q. Does anyone manufacture a side by side kid's quad? I've looked around but come up empty handed. A. If there is a side by side kid's quad out there, I've never seen it. I think if you want a side by side in youth size, you would probably be better off with a go-kart. There are plenty of kid sized go-karts out there with a side by side seating arrangement yet close to the ground for a lower center of gravity. | Q. I have a dinli cobia & was wondering the correct psi for a compression test& correct spark plug gap. A. I don't have the exact specs for your Dinli but if I had to guess, 100 psi would be optimal for this atv. You could or would really only see 100 psi under perfect conditions. As for the plug gap, .024 to .030 should be close, but again, I don't have exact specs here. You may still be able to find a manual for this Dinli on eBay or elsewhere around the net. | Q. Is the e-ton quad a good bike or is it junk i want to buy one for my grandson and what should i pay fpr a 90 cc A. The E-Ton atv is better quality than many of the other brands to appear over the last decade. however, if your grandson is a hard-riding kid who you foresee as really racking up the riding hours, you may wish to focus on the major manufacturers like Honda or Yamaha. One thing E-Ton does have going for it is the number of authorized dealers in the USA. This is a sign they are serious about atvs. As for pricing, it all depends on condition, model, model year, and geographic location. Hello, I'm not sure I see the advantage to installing a 24 volt battery into a 12 volt atv but I would have to suggest that it wouldn't be worth the trouble. The entire electrical system including lights, any solenoids, and of course the starter are all 12v The alternator or generator is also rated to charge a 12v battery. If so, the only suggestion I could make would be to purchase levers for a 50cc Raptor and possible modify to make them work. I'm not sure of any smaller controls specifically made for the Badger. Hello Benn, just because the spark plug threads into the quad cylinder, doesn't mean it is the correct spark plug. The threads are only one specification. Other specs are the spark temperature, as well as the overall length of the spark plug. I would assume it is a 2 stroke engine, but if it is a two stroke, then it should have an oil injection tank which is where you would fill the two stroke injection oil. | Q. how much clutch oil does the manufacture call for in a 90cc four wheeler? A. If your quad has one, your true indicator of oil level would be your dipstick. Some manufacturers however call for 100ml or about 3 and a half ounces and others with reverse holding as much as 10 ounces or 300ml. If you can't determine the amount, another good indicator would be the amount of oil that was drained initially. | Q. Thanks for the info. on the battery. Now for the next issue, it seems like we have lost some power. Daughter was riding the other day and it died out on her . It started fine first try but when she went to accelerate again , it seemed to hesitate almost like the brake was on,but it was not. We let it cooloff for a fewand tried again and it seemed to get a little better but not completely still some hesitation. again it will idle fine but when you try to accelerate , it really hesitates. Looking for an idea, and or info on similar problems anyone may have seen before . Thanks A. | Q. What size battery usually comes with the sundiro 90cc ridge runner. This quad will kick start, but not enough power for electric start. Should I give it a charge?Is this system suppose to charge this battery? Any info would be helpful as I dont want to damage this battery. Thanks A. Your Sundiro should have a 12V motorcycle battery. I would suggest removing the battery and taking it to a local auto parts store, usually they will load test the battery for free. This will definitely determine whether or not the battery itself is the problem. If the battery tests ok, then you may have corroded or faulty wiring to the starter or maybe even a defective starter. | Q. I have a 90cc LRX/Kasea and it appears that the axle is slightly bent. Would you suggest a +3 or +4 axle for better stability and maybe just going with spacers for the front? Is it as easy to swap axles as it looks? A. Never a big fan of extended axles, i would try spacers first however since the axle is bent and you need to replace, the wider stance from either of those axles will definitely help. Proceed to your local auto parts store (or Wal-Mart) and get yourself a 2 amp battery charger first. Be sure your battery is charged thoroughly and completely. Secondly, remove the spark plug and lay it on the engine so it is touching exposed metal of the quad (laying it on the engine is usually good enough), this will ground the spark plug. Try starting the quad and watch for spark at the plug. You need to know for certain whether you have spark or not. Electrical issues are sometimes hard to diagnose, especially electrical issues in an atv ignition system. Weak park could be bad ground, weak stator, faulty cdi, or bad plug wire. When you drain the old oil you'll have to pay attention to the amount of oil that was in the case to estimate the amount of oil you'll need to put back in. You may need a pair of pliers to loosen the carb cap as well. I'm not aware of any other type of fastener holding a Kasea carb on. Check the frame for model numbers or vin numbers. It should be stamped somewhere down near the base of the motor or up underneath the seat area. | Q. Do they still make Dinli ATV's? A. Great question, if you visit the Dinli USA website you will see they are cuently embattled in legal issues with the Chinese or Taiwanese supplier. They were granted a settlement for their problems with warranties not being honored. The website is up and there are various models listed with specs. | Q. How to troubleshooting an atv igntion system? A. The ignition system is generally the same on all atv's however the subtle differences include options, harnesses, and the specific wiring colors. | Q. How do I convert my quad from oil injection to premix? A. Remove the oil injection tank. You may need to jumper the low oil switch that is situated in the tank as this may keep your quad from running on some models. | Q. How to change engine oil in a quad? A. Engine oil is drained from the bottom, of course. Remove the drain plug, with a drain pan already in place. It is recommended you warm the engine somewhat first. This iwill warm the oil and it will drain better. Oil filter replacement is typically recommended. They are most often located on the side of the engine but are also located on the bottom with the drain plug on certain models. Refill the oil using the appropriate grade and weight as recommended by your service manual.
